How many times during the week do we wake up late, quickly sip some coffee, bite something and then rush off to work, university or school? Too often.
At Polisena you will find an atmosphere far away from the hurried daily life that sometimes overwhelm us. As you get out of your car, you will be immersed in the pristine fresh air, the lush green or warm colours of the trees and the vineyards, the stillness of the countryside, and the sounds of animals living in our farmhouse, as well as the others nearby. You are here to relax, and that will start with the first moment of the day: your breakfast.

Breakfast at Polisena

We do believe that a good, healthy breakfast is the key to start your day off on the right foot. To cater for our international guests, our à-la-carte breakfast offers both sweet and salty dishes, all made with local organic ingredients.

Breakfast is served everyday from 8 to 10 am, and is included in the room price. In the winter and autumn season you can enjoy it in the coziness of our vaulted wine-tasting space, while in spring and summer you will enjoy the fresh air and sunlight in the veranda or the terrace in front of the bar.

First things first, and if we are talking about breakfast, this means coffee. Here at Polisena we serve organic coffee by Ravasio, a roastery in the area of Bergamo, that has been in the business since 1940. Espresso, latte or cappuccino, they all carry the aromatic and intense fragrance of the coffee beans. The tea we serve is the one  by Touch Organic, a fair-trade label.

Before starting your breakfast, we always offer a glass of warm lemon water to boost your energy and help your digestion. Organic fruit juice or fruit and vegetable extracted juice are on the menu, as well as plant-based or conventional yogurt and milk.

Sweet options include jams and marmalades, homemade with seasonal fruits picked from our gardens, to spread on fresh bread. Plant-based cakes and muffins, porridge and muesli are also available.

If you prefer a salty breakfast, you can choose among fresh mountain butter, a selection of cheese produced in the nearby Val Brembana by local artisan, or the eggs laid by our hens (fried, scrumbled, poached or omelette).
